A Clean 2006 Duramax, Leveled with Bilstein shocks

The owner of this 2006 Chevy Silverado didn't want to do a full lift, but rather a leveling kit fit his needs. This duramax is normally used to tow toys of all sorts & it is used to its full potential. Already having 17" chrome wheels mounted on Wrangler tires, the Pro Comp Torsion Key leveling kit was installed. Shortly after; the gas charged, silver Bilstein shocks were bolted into all four corners of the truck. Keeping this truck mild & reliable is what the customer had in mind & he accomplished that by doing a couple simple bolt on modifications.
2009 F150 leveled with wheels & tires

Upon returning from Iraq, our customer was in need of some fun. He decided that a brand new Ford F-150 might just fit the bill. So he brought in his, fresh off the showroom floor Ford F-150 crew cab. He wanted to keep it mild yet have it look wild. A Pro Comp 3" Leveling kit was installed & the front end now sits level with the rear of the truck. To get that aggressive look desired, a set of black 20" KMC Addict wheels were mounted to a set of 35" Mickey Thompson tires. This truck went from mild to wild with a just a couple of modifications.
Another Lowered Dodge Challenger, A Completly Different Look

This customer came to us wanting to slightly lower his Dodge Challenger. While already having 22" wheels on the car, a mild drop was in mind to keep the stock ride quality yet have that mean lowered stance. A set of Eibach lowering coils were installed which had the fenders hugging the tires while having no rubbing issues. This clean cut Challenger is sitting low & cruising the streets daily.
Lowered 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT 8

This customer had a 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT 8 & wanted to fine tune the handling characteristics. Removing the already race designed factory coils, front & rear Eibach Pro Series coils were installed along with Eibach anti-sway bars. With the car closer to the ground & ready to beat the pavement into submission, a Hurst short shifter was installed to close the gap from gear to gear. Saying that this car is fun to drive is a understatement, as there is very little body roll & each gear is closer than the tire to fender gap. This retired police officer wanted a car a little badder than the cars he had been pulling over & he certainly achieved that goal.
An Immaculate 2010 Escalade Lowered on Lexanti 26″ Wheels

Nothing looks better than a brand new vehicle right off the show room floor. Oh wait, taking that brand new vehicle, in this case a 2010 Cadillac Escalade, and bolting some 26" Lexani wheels on it just about does it. The customer wanted to keep it clean & still have something custom. A Mcgaughys leveling kit was installed. Then some minor trimming was done up front in order to keep the stock turning radius & not tear the fender wells apart. When done, this Escalade was ready to hit the streets.
2008 Chevy Tahoe With a McGaughys 2/3 Drop on 24s

Talk about one bad ass grocery getter. With the customer already having 24″ wheels on his Tahoe, he wanted to close up the wheel & fender gap. The simple solution, installing a McGaughys 2/3″ lowering kit had this Tahoe sitting right & riding nice. There was some minor inner fender trimming done in order to ensure there was no clearance issues. At the end of the day the customer was very happy with his SUV.
2005 Chevy Avalanche with a 2/5 drop on 22s

2008 GMC Yukon Denali Lowered on 26″ KMC Slides
Fresh out of the paint booth & brand new set of 26″ black KMC Slides bolted on, we pulled this 08 Denali into the shop & got to work on the McGaughys 2/3 lowering kit. Everything bolted up flawlessly & to clear the huge 26″ wheels, the the inner fender wells were trimmed & the factory steps were relocated a 1/4″ back. All said & done, the truck was aligned & drove perfect with no rubbing issues.
2005 Ford F250 with 12″ Bulletproof Lift Kit on 40’s

Our customer brought us his 2005 Ford F250 & said he wanted something over the top. After discussing different lift kit options, he settled on a 12″ Bulletproof lift with adjustable Fox coilover shocks. The rear of the truck sits on a set of Fox shocks with reservoirs. The truck sits on 20″ chrome Outlaw wheels with 40” tires. To keep this monster street legal for Arizona law (which requires mud flaps to be minimum 7″ from the ground), a set of custom adjustable mud flaps were installed.
Welcome 2009! Helping You Acheive New Years Resolutions!

As the end of the year has now come and gone I hope that everyone had a good, festive, and warm holiday season. We here at Grunion Fabrication had a very busy holiday. From a before-Christmas retail rush to building a car for bike builder Paul Yaffe’s significant other in under a week (more pictures in our Vehicle Gallery), it was definatley a hectic season.
For New Years a few of us here took a small break and headed north to Snow Bowl to take advantage of the relatively new snowfall. Thanks to the great weather, we made it home with only a few sore muscles, but no broken bones. And now it is time to get back to work building cars.
Since it is now 2009, we know that no new year would be complete without setting a few New Years Resolutions.
