By installing the highly engineered CST 1500 2wd Suburban / Tahoe / Avalanche lift kit, you will be provided with great durability and factory like ride through such components like our unique one piece subframe design w/ strut bar supports, supported upper control arm drop mounts, steering drop down w/ heim jointed support linkage's, and a 2wd cross bar support bracket. The CST system will drop down the factory suspension a true six inches, insuring that factory steering and suspension geometry will remain within factory specifications. For the rear of this 6-8 inch kit we use a 5 1/2" rear coil spacer, panhard lift mount, and extended rear sway bar links. CST recommends that the factory rear shock be retained when your vehicle is equipped with load leveling or auto ride shocks; in some cases these shocks help assist the rear coil in holding up the rear of the vehicle. To retain this shock we offer a drop down bracket that will lower the shock down to work in conjunction with this kit. If you choose to replace this shock with an after market shock, the use of an air assist air bag that would be placed in the middle of the rear coil is recommended.
